Yes. Both BetterBunkie™ Endure and SlatSure™ Vertical Bed Slats are designed to fully replace a traditional box spring inside your bed frame. They provide the same support function — keeping your mattress flat, even, and at the right height — without the bulk, squeaks, or cost of a traditional box spring.
Yes — and in many cases, better. Modern mattresses (memory foam, hybrid, latex) are designed to perform on a flat, firm surface. Traditional box springs were built for innerspring mattresses and often sag over time. Both products provide the rigid, even support modern mattresses are designed for.
These are not designed to be stored — they replace your foundation full-time. SlatSure Vertical is especially lightweight, so it’s easiest to move around if you only pull the sofa bed out occasionally. SlatSure Vertical does fold up — Endure does not, since it has a metal frame.

BetterBunkie™ Endure — a more durable, heavy-duty alternative to a traditional box spring. Best if you have a basic frame, you need extra durability, and you don’t mind some assembly. SlatSure™ Vertical Bed Slats — a modern, slimmer alternative to a traditional box spring. Best if you want a low-profile foundation that drops into any frame and is easier to install.
Most modern mattress warranties require the mattress to be supported by a box spring, bunkie board, or slatted foundation. Both products provide the kind of flat, even, rigid support that satisfies these requirements. Every mattress brand has its own warranty terms — check your mattress manufacturer’s warranty document for specifics.
No — both products are low-profile by design. They replace your existing box spring entirely, so your bed will actually sit lower than before. A traditional box spring adds 7–9 inches; both products add only the height of the foundation insert.
Every Meliusly box spring alternative is backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If it ever fails — cracks, loses structural integrity, or stops performing under normal use — we’ll replace it free. No receipts, no expiration date. Both products are built from industrial-grade materials (reinforced plywood; or wood + metal hybrid construction) designed to withstand years of daily use.
SlatSure Vertical: Remove your mattress and any existing box spring. Place the SlatSure Vertical inside your bed frame and unfold so the slats lay flat. Replace the mattress on top. About 5 minutes, no tools required. BetterBunkie Endure: Quick frame assembly (about 5 minutes), then drop into your bed frame. Replace the mattress on top.

Very easy assembly — I assembled it in maybe three minutes before consulting the instructions, so it’s very intuitive. The slats have hook and loop tape that matches the frame so they won’t slide. The spacing is really nice — no dips in the mattress, and with the non-sliding part, I know it’ll stay in place. Fairly lightweight, easy to carry and move around when fully assembled. Even came with a handwritten thank-you note and satin face mask.

BetterBunkie™ Endure
This twin bunkie board is very good quality. Really heavy at 29 pounds, but that’s because the materials are so substantial. Bunkie boards really help me with my back pain because I need a firm base, and the bunkie board helps me maintain proper alignment. The construction is above grade.

BetterBunkie™ Endure
As advertised: heavy-duty. Assembling the frame was easy but took a little time. The slats have a velcro strip that keeps them secure once installed, so there are no squeaks when you move on the mattress. Ultra-low profile — it allowed us to lower the height of the top of the mattress by about 5", which is key when our Mom visits and finds tall mattresses hard to navigate. Strong support — you don't notice the lack of a box spring. Build quality is excellent and good value for the money.

These SlatSure Bunkie Boards are very nice. The quality is heavy duty and sturdy as stated. I like the gray non-slip padding on the backside that keeps them from sliding. They come in two vertical sections linked together with strong fabric and Velcro. The finish is smooth, not like some other unfinished boards. I purchased the Queen size and they fit and support my queen size platform bed perfectly. They didn’t change the height of my 15" mattress which is great. Definitely worth every penny — especially if you have a platform bed with a few horizontal slats. They even included a handwritten thank-you note. Nice touch!

Fits perfectly. Just what I needed as I hate box springs.

SlatSure™ Vertical Bed Slats
I couldn’t be happier with these slats! These are really high quality and 1/2" thick. Each slat is 3.25" wide with about 2.5" between them — meeting the requirements of all the mattresses in our house. Very easy to set up: the slats are attached with fabric and just need to be unrolled across the existing bed frame. I prefer these to a solid bunkie board as they allow the mattress to breathe. Not cheap, but thick and very high quality — a worthwhile investment.

SlatSure™ Vertical Bed Slats
I have a basic metal bed frame with no box spring. The mattress was squeezing through the thin metal slats — not good. The queen size comes in two sections so it’s easier to maneuver, which I appreciated since I installed it by myself. The boards fit snugly under the lip of my bed frame so they don’t slide off. No more mattress material squeezing out the bottom. I suspect this will extend the life of the mattress. Five out of five stars.
